Your Library Card

Who can get a library card, how to apply, and how to use your library card.

  • Anyone who resides in the state of Iowa may apply for a library card.  There is no fee for a library card unless you lose your original.  We do charge a $1.00 replacement fee for lost cards.
  • You must have a library card in order to borrow materials from the library
  • The library loans books, magazines, books on tape, videos and DVDs
  • Loan periods are:

Books, audio-books and magazines may be borrowed for 3 weeks

DVDs and Videos may be borrowed for 1 week

  • An item may be renewed if it is not on hold for another patron.  You may do this by e-mail, phone or in person.
  • Fines for overdue items are $.10 per day for books, audio-books and magazines, and $1.00 per day for DVDs and Videos
  • Contact the library if you would like to reserve an item.
  • If we do not own an item that you would like to borrow, we will try to Interlibrary loan that item from another library.
